Forever Stairs

one of my 2d assignments. we had to take a 'simple' shape, form, object, etc., and using certain placement and contrasts, make it seem as though there were infinite amounts of what we chose. i thought stairs would be a interesting choice. it was, but it was a pain as well. as you can see, i have staircases that twist and turn instead of straight ones. this covers more space, but makes placement difficult. the stairs also extend off the page, which gives more depth, but leaves less space for more stairs. on top of that, i chose to draw each step as accurately as possible to prevent confusion. ouch...

so this is the result. because of it i went two nights straight without sleep. i wish i could have done more cast shadows and maybe cleaned it a bit more, but i had no time. i am still really happy, and it still did really well
